Description 1045 is a great steel for making hammers and tools, that require a medium level of hardness and toughness. Weighs 38-39kg. When used upright as an anvil the mass is concentrated beneath your hammer blows, greatly increasing efficiency compared to a traditional pattern anvil of the same weight.
