U-Beaut Aussie Oil 250ml

$31.68 $42.77
Description U-Beaut Aussie Oil 250ml is a high gloss rubbing oil and woodturners friction polish. It has been designed to be hand rubbed on to raw timber and provides a brilliant bright, high gloss finish, making the grain pop and enhancing the chatoyance in the figure. The below steps can be followed to effectively apply U-Beaut Aussie Oil as a rubbing oil: Finely sand the wood through the grits to at least an 800 grit finish, higher for a more vibrant shine Get a piece of clean soft cloth. Brushed flannelette sheeting is ideal Drape 1 layer of the cloth over the end of your index finger and pull it tight to make a pad on your finger tip Shake mixture vigorously until it is a creamy colour. Add a drop of Aussie Oil to the pad on your index finger (now covered by the cloth), making sure there is just enough to cover the entire surface of the item you intend to polish. Add another drop if required. Begin rubbing the surface to be polished using a circular motion and medium pressure. Continue doing this until the cloth is starting to dry out and the polish has begun to shine. This should only take 1 – 3 minutes Do this as many times as you feel is needed, up to 5 times in 1 hour The below steps can be followed to effectively apply U-Beaut Aussie Oil as a friction polish on a lathe: Finely sand the wood through the grits to at least an 800 grit finish, higher for a more vibrant shine Get a piece of clean soft cloth. Brushed flannelette sheeting is ideal Fold the cloth so you make a pad 4 to 6 layers thick (will stop you from burning your fingers when applying Aussie Oil at high speed) Shake mixture vigorously until it is a creamy colour. Add a small amount to the layered cloth, making sure there is just enough to cover the entire surface of the item you intend to polish With the lathe stopped, apply the Aussie Oil evenly over the section to be polished Turn the lathe on and using the same section of layered cloth, apply pressure to the work and slowly move the oil soaked section of the cloth over the entire surface from top to bottom and back again. Continue doing this until your cloth has dried out on the face and is becoming glazed and hard. This shouldn’t take more than about 30 to 40 seconds If you want a brighter shine you can apply a second and subsequent coats almost immediately by repeating steps 1 – 6. Do not sand between coats. Apply the oil directly to the previous coat. In most instances 2 – 3 coats should be more than enough to bring up a brilliant finish
