Description Mahogany (Swietenia) Handle Block measuring approximately 30 x 45 x 150mm. Has an attractive light reddish brown colour that darkens with age and beautiful straight, even grain. Sands easily and is less susceptible to warping, shrinking and swelling than many other woods. Takes stain easily and has decent rot resistance. Often used in furniture, it also makes an excellent knife handle. This is a natural material that comes with minor defects (added character) at no extra charge.
